Profile

Anthony is a Melbourne-based Laryngologist. With a special interest in disorders of the voice box and trachea, he completed a Fellowship in Laryngology at the National Centre for Airway Reconstruction in London, performing endoscopic and open approaches to airway and voice disorders, including transvoice surgery. Anthony then completed a second Fellowship on voice and swallowing disorders in Poole, UK, where he learned local anaesthetic techniques including vocal fold augmentation, treatment of subglottic stenosis as well as transnasal oesophagoscopy and dilation. Anthony works as both Laryngologist and ENT Surgeon at Monash Health as well as in the private setting across Brighton ENT, Melbourne Swallow Analysis Centre and Melbourne Voice Analysis Centre. He is the recipient of multiple research grants, has a number of publications and presentations, as well as co-creating the first and only college-approved laryngeal dissection course across Australia. He has a keen interest in teaching and is supervisor of training at Monash Health, whilst also running educational courses. He is involved in research at The University of Melbourne with Speech Pathology colleagues, to optimise access to Gender-affirming care.
