AGE
Vocal feminization should only be carried out from the age of 18. There is no physical contraindication but at this stage we do not recommend surgery before this age. The patient should be an adult and have full legal capacity
VOICE REST
No consent among the members. Voice rest varies from 4 days to 4 weeks.

CHRONDOPLASTY
A chrondolaryngoplasty for thyroid prominence reduction can be performed together with glottoplasty
The scar should be above the Adam’s apple
LAVA – USE OF LASER
Use of a laser to raise the pitch hat two targets: tightening of epithelium and mass reduction
Wording:
LAVA = Laser assisted voice adjustment (myscosal thightening)
VFMR = Vocal Fold Mass Reduction
TRIAL GLOTTOPLASTY
Not recommended as a routine procedure, as the patient may perceive the trial glottoplasty voice as different from the permanent voice. The muscles also do not seem to adapt as quickly.
FORBIDDEN AFTER SURGERY
Coughing, Throat clearing, laughing. Spicy food, smoking should to be limited.

VOICE THERAPY
Recommendation to have voice therapy at least after surgery

Psychologist within the team
VOICE MASCULINIZATION (Voice Deepening Surgery / Voice Lowering Surgery)
