Profile
Dr. Beatriz Serraglio Narciso completed her medical residency in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at FAMERP. She later specialized in Laryngology and Voice through a fellowship at Santa Casa de São Paulo, where she currently serves as an assistant professor and leads the Laryngology outpatient clinic, with a focus on voice surgeries related to the transsexualization process.
Her interest in voice began in childhood, when she started vocal training at the age of 12—a practice she pursued for eight years. This artistic background sparked a deep connection with vocal expression and influenced her decision to pursue a medical career centered on voice care, particularly for trans individuals and artists.
As a voice surgery specialist, she performs procedures such as Wendler glottoplasty, type 3 and 4 thyroplasties, LAVA, and Adam’s apple reduction, always prioritizing each patient’s vocal individuality and expressive goals.
In her private practice, she offers compassionate, personalized care, marked by attentive listening and sensitivity to the needs of individuals experiencing vocal dysphoria—combining technical excellence with empathy.
Actively engaged in both the scientific community and social media, Dr. Beatriz is also committed to promoting awareness around vocal health and gender diversity, contributing to the ongoing discourse on vocal identity and autonomy in voice expression in Brazil.
