Profile

Dr. David E. Rosow is a board certified otolaryngologist/head and neck surgeon and fellowship trained laryngologist. He is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and is Director of the Division of Laryngology and Voice. He also maintains a secondary appointment as Assistant Professor of Clinical Vocal Performance at the University of Miami Frost School of Music. He graduated from Harvard College with a B.A. in Chemistry and earned his M.D. from Harvard Medical School, both with honors. He completed a general surgery internship and the combined Otolaryngology residency program of Columbia and Cornell Universities at New York Presbyterian Hospital. His fellowship in laryngology and laryngeal surgery was at Massachusetts General Hospital under the direction of Dr. Steven Zeitels. He is a classically trained violinist, was a member of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra for 9 years, and he has performed in venues such as New York’s Carnegie Hall and Boston’s Symphony Hall.
Dr. Rosow’s interests include care of the professional voice, treatment of neurological conditions of the larynx, benign and malignant conditions of the vocal folds, treatment of vocal fold paralysis, airway reconstruction, and swallowing disorders. He has a particular interest in both endoscopic and office-based approaches to laryngeal disorders, as well as the use of lasers to treat a variety of conditions.
