Profile
Dr. Dinesh Chhetri graduated from Brown University with a degree in biochemistry, then obtained his MD from the David Geffen School of Medicine at University of California, Los Angeles. He was attracted early to laryngology research and graduated with distinction for his thesis on vocal fold paralysis and laryngeal reinnervation. He completed both residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and fellowship in Laryngology at UCLA. He is director of the Voice Physiology Laboratory and Laryngology fellowship program at UCLA. Dr. Chhetri serves multiple leadership roles and is also a funded researcher for studies related to voice production, neuromuscular control of the larynx, and laryngeal reinnervation. He served as president of the American Laryngological Association. In addition, he is passionate about training surgeons throughout the world and has led many international medical missions and conferences.
