Yael Oestreicher-Kedem is a specialist in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. She graduated from Tel Aviv University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Professions and completed her Otolaryngology residency at Rabin Medical Center in Israel with honors. She then pursued fellowships in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Dana Children’s Hospital in Israel and Laryngology at Stanford University in the USA.
Currently, Dr. Oestreicher-Kedem directs the Voice and Swallowing Clinic at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and is a member of its Facial Feminization Team. She specializes in voice feminization, scarless transvestibular tracheal shave for neck feminization, surgical treatment of benign laryngeal lesions, endoscopic laser resection of laryngeal cancer, and the management of voice disorders such as spasmodic dysphonia, including Botox injections and laryngeal neurectomy. She has extensive experience in in-office laryngeal procedures such as injection laryngoplasty and awake biopsies and laser treatment of laryngeal lesions.
Recognized as a leading voice and swallowing expert in Israel, Dr. Oestreicher-Kedem has been featured in Forbes Israel and Dun’s 100. She is also a senior lecturer at Tel Aviv University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Professions, where she received the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
